In order to enhance the friendship with consultants and experts in Nanjing, seek their support and discuss future development plans, WCCO held the 2018 Consultant and Expert Work Report Meeting in Nanjing on January 28th. The meeting was attended by 15 representatives including Zhu Minyang (Chairman of WCCO), Luo Yimin (Vice Chairmen of the 11th Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) and Wang Xuefei (Vice Chairman of the Eleventh Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPPCC and member of the Party Committee) etc.

The meeting was chaired by Zhang Yuejin, Director of WCCO Expert Committee. Mr. Zhang extended a warm welcome to the leaders, consultants and experts who had braved the cold weather to attend the meeting. Vice Minister of WCCO Division, Li Hongming reported on the main work in 2017 and shared the key monthly projects for the year 2018.

During the meeting, the leaders, consultants and experts expressed their full recognition and appreciation of WCCO's work and achievements in the past year and offered advice and suggestions generously. The attendees proposed to strengthen communication with the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Government, Yangzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government, to garner the support of functional departments. Other valuable suggestions include building platforms for enterprises to attract more large-scale enterprises, increasing exchanges and cooperation with international organizations etc.

Chairman Zhu Minyang recalled the strong support and selfless help rendered from the Nanjing consultants and experts to WCCO in 2017. Zhu Minyang said that the WCCO Secretariat shall implement the recommendations of the consultants and experts gradually. He also hopes that the consultants and experts will participate actively in various activities organized by the WCCO in 2018 to further enhance their friendship and discuss their development.

An appointment ceremony was held at the end of the event. Chairman Zhu Minyang issued a letter of appointment to the newly appointed consultant, Wang Xuefei, Vice Chairman of the Eleventh Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPPCC and member of the Party Committee, and You Qingzhong, the newly recruited expert of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the 11th CPPCC Economic Committee.
